Nasca Community Festival returned to Holywood between 8 and 11 March this year as our contribution to Seachtain na Gaeilge. Events kicked off on Tuesday, 8 March at 7 p.m., when Zimbabwean Gaeilgeoir Tura Arutura held a sean-nós dance workshop in the hall behind the Non-subscribing Presybterian Church.

At 2.30 p.m. on Thursday, 10 March in Holywood Library, BBC Radio Ulster presenter and singer Brian Mullen gave a lecture on "Our Shared Tradition of Songs in Ulster", in a very entertaining and informative stroll through our musical heritage.

Finally, on Friday, 11 March, also at 2.30 p.m., the Library once again played host to children's theatre company Ababú, which staged another lively bilingual show, this year on the theme of "An Mealbhacán Mire", or "The Mad Melon".
